My name is Candice Strickland and I am so fortunate and proud to serve as the Assistant Principal of AH Bangert Elementary for the 4th year!
I am a Craven County native and currently reside in Vanceboro, NC. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from East Carolina University and my Master’s of Leadership from Gardner Webb University. I began my career in education at Chocowinity Primary School in Beaufort County and continued to teach for 7 years. Once I completed my Master’s degree in the summer of 2015, I advanced during the fall to become the Assistant Principal at Northeast Elementary School and then moved on to Bath Elementary for four years. In May 2019, I joined Craven County Schools to serve as the Assistant Principal at Bangert Elementary.
